Project Overview:
Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi:billion:dollar upgrade / expansion of their existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel 's India offices. Both scopes are substantial with multi:million job:hours estimated across both scopes

Position Summary:
Plans, manages, and coordinates project Procurement activities on a major project of exceptional scope. Assignment will generally include coordination of worldwide global business unit and regional office support for all procurement functions, including jobsite procurement operations.

Reports to and receives operational direction from the Project Manager.

Receives functional guidance from the global business unit Manager of Procurement.

Provides operational direction to the functional procurement personnel assigned to the project
C. Contacts
:
Maintains working relationships with members of the project team and ensures they are correctly informed regarding Procurement activities and status of materials and equipment.

Maintains contact with other Services (e.g., Legal, Finance, etc.) as needed to ensure securing their advice and guidance in their areas of expertise, within the areas of Procurement 's scope of responsibility.

Maintains working relationships with applicable client personnel to ensure Procurement actions are consistent with client goals.

Maintains contacts with Procurement support offices to ensure they are properly instructed regarding project requirements, and to monitor and guide their procurement activities.
