The Ideal Candidate: - 3-4 years experience in relevant field (retail, apparel, category management etc).- NIFT Candidates graduated from Fashion & Apparel management. NIFT fresher also welcome with good grades - Ready to travel across India for merch sourcing and buying.- Storing experience in supplier/ vendor management.- Plan workflow and manage multiple priorities.
-Positive attitude and ability to work with the team.- Strong and effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Roles/Responsibilities:- Abilities to find out what is trending in the market. Predict trends and make inwards accordingly.
-Identify new vendors for Design by Nalli as and when needed, constantly be looking for better quality and more efficient costs, and continuous improvement mindset.- Oversee Design by Nalli Production Incharges in getting samples and getting the Design team s approval on samples for production.- Troubleshoot costing/quality/deadline challenges and resolve with vendors to ensure commitments achieved; project manage all external and internal stakeholders.- Identify stock requiring a push and work with marketing teams to provide visibility Provide insights on low selling designs to design team, and collaboratively decide which designs to reorder-kill-modify; keep track of performance of all experiments.- Ensure Production Incharges fulfill the production numbers within the timeline.
-Informing quality-related problems, encountered during inwarding to the Quality control (QC) team and to the Operations Manager.
-Work cross-functionally with marketing, designers, business analyst, etc while taking up end-to-end responsibility for ensuring stock is on shelves on time in full.
-Support and work with Nalli team and be involved in the analysis of the retail e-commerce market, and competitors to develop a strategic sourcing policy and the business goal for the company.- Analysing the merch data to forecast volumes of products to be procured by working with the Business Analyst.- Proactively ensure STRs are high with optimal inventory levels.- Researching and sourcing the best supplier and maintaining the supplier scorecard to identify the top suppliers/ vendors.
-Manage replenishment and ensure bestsellers always stocked without over-ordering.- Negotiate with suppliers and make sure that we get the order that we placed.- Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships.- Oversee QC of all orders and review the orders previously, currently placed and identify the reason for QC rejects for the quality improvement.- Keeping track of Merch performance against the AOP and should make decisions and changes accordingly.
