Position Summary : - The BI Developer works closely with Team members and the Business Subject Matter Experts [SME]s to comprehend enterprise data and reporting needs and implement necessary Enterprise Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence [BI] solutions.
-The BI Developer will also enable enterprise data consumption by providing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to interface with both Master data and Operational data. Job Responsibility : 1. Responsible for standards and documentation of data and reporting requirements 2. Create new and enhance existing ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 3. Work with teams to implement both traditional and self-driven analysis and reporting solutions 4. Develop RESTful APIs as means to interface with Master data and Operational data 5. Follow coding standards and implement industry best practices 6. Maintain code using version control tools, label code and coordinate planned deployments 7. Develop queries, stored procedures, triggers, and scripts as needed 8. Initiate unit testing and participate in integration testing of all changes 9. Participate in planning, design, implementation, and testing of new and changing database configurations 10. Deliver data and report capabilities, and stretches the boundaries in implementing Near Real Time (NRT) analysis and reporting Qualifications and Competencies : - Bachelors Degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science or related field. Equivalent technical experience may be substituted for educational requirement - 5 years implementation of Integration, Analysis, and Reporting capabilities using SQL Server and Enterprise Data Warehouses - Experience with implementation of RESTful APIs and application integration using Microsoft.NET/C# - Exposure to enterprise message brokers such as BizTalk, MS Service Broker, etc.
-Exposure to Power-BI Desktop/Portal or equivalent analytics tool and integration with Office 365 - Experience in Microsoft Master Data Services or equivalent Master Data Management tool suite - Exposure to Microsoft Data Quality Toolset - Excellent understanding of dimensional modelling and experience with relational database architecture and database implementations/monitoring/maintenance with the focus on SQL Server - Experience using Source Control tools - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio preferred to facilitate documentation efforts - Development experience in SQL Server 2014 and above and SQL Server Business Intelligence Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) - Strong T-SQL and database programming skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting and diagnostic skills - Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and drill into detail with business partners to determine true needs.
