Roles and responsibilities for Data Engineering Lead/Architect : - (Experienced in Data Engineering/Datawarehousing) - A Technologist who would like to broaden their scope in Data Sciences and Analytics and explore new frontiers in Technology and its applications. Responsibilities : Provides technical leadership in BigData space (Hadoop Stack like M/R, HDFS, Pig, Hive, HBase, Flume, Sqoop, etcNoSQL stores like Cassandra, HBase etc).
-Evaluate and recommend Big Data technology stack for the platform.
-Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting, applying and contributing towards building re-usable artefacts - Drive solutions and architecture and customer discussions.
-Provide strong technical expertise (performance, application design, stack upgrades) to lead Data Engineering - Provide/inspire innovative ideas around technology and especially on Big Data, Real Time Data and Analytical data flows - Qualifications & Experience in solving complex data problems, reusable, efficient and scalable code. The requirement includes work on the following technologies : - Ability and attitude to work in a fast paced environment.
-Ability to relate to business requirements with Technology choices - Good grasp of programming in Java, Python.
-Prior experience in Enterprise Datawarehousing is a big plus.
-Strong understanding and hands-on experience in distributed computing frameworks, particularly Apache Hadoop 2.0 (YARN; MR & HDFS) and associated technologies one or more of Spark (Scala, Java, Python), Hive, Sqoop, Avro, Flume, Oozie, Zookeeper, etc.
-Good knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS and/ or Azure) - Ability to work in a team in an agile setting and clear understanding of how GIT works - In addition, the ideal candidate would have great problem-solving skills, and confidence to solve difficult problems.
