What we seek : You are a back-end application engineer experienced in building full-featured Internet applications. You will be working as part of a fast-paced project team to develop and deliver commercial software products for internal and external use. Must be an energetic self-starter who thrives in a continually changing environment with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables. Specific Job Duties : - Work with project team and internal customers to establish and understand requirements - Responsible for back-end development of highly dynamic web-based applications by following best practice coding standards, appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts - Participate in the software development process as defined by the Agile Scrum process. This includes participating in the requirements gathering process Experience Requirements : - Expert in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework Django, Flask - Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries - Integration of data storage solutions redis, postgresql, mysql(big query, big table, pubsub, appengine) - Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application - Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform - Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments - Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as git, svn - Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications - Implementation of security and data protection (permission classes and middlewares) - Understanding of threading multi-process architecture - Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python - Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes - Strong unit test and debugging skills - Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5) - Server deployment and dev-ops will be bonus skill
