Responsibilities and Duties : - Manage MS SQL Server databases; Responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and upgrades of MS SQL server databases.
-Proactively monitor the Database systems health and performance to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
-Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes - Assist Developers with query tuning and schema refinement - Ensure daily maintenance; logging, reporting, backups, updates, etc. are handed in a timely and efficient manner.
-Develop specific SDLC documentation - Create/modify SSIS packages - Create and support data load processes via SSIS and database refreshes. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications - 4-6 years of SQL Server database administration experience - Experience in the installation and configuration of Microsoft SQL Server - Understanding of the principles, theories, practices and techniques of SQL Server database administration - Extensive experience managing multiple MS SQL 2005/2008/2012/2014 servers on enterprise-class server clusters running Windows 2003/2008/2012 - Experience with T-SQL, DTS, SSIS and stored procedures - Experience with Replication, Log Shipping, Database Mirroring, and Availability Groups.
-Superior level Performance Tuning Troubleshooting skills - Excellent communication skills for working with overseas clients.
-Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication, Always ON.
-Proficient in customization and configuration of MSBI product suite Immediate Joiners (Notice Period less than 15 days) only.
