Our Top MNC Client is hiring for DBA Trivandrum / Cochin Immediate Joiner is preferred Responsibilities : - Be part of a 24 X 7 Operations team to manage highly mission critical applications for premium customers.
-Install, configure and tune database components (Oracle/ MSSQL /PostgreSQL/ MySQL/Maria Db/) - Install and configure No SQL databases like MongoDB - Analyze any production database issue, troubleshoot and provide necessary support to product teams .
-Diligently execute the root cause analysis on incidents, report causes and run the same through problem management work flows.
-Manage and maintain the routine Database administration activities.
-Handling user/schema creation,table space, adding data files, granting necessary grants, privileges to users preferably using automation procedures - Handling on demand Data refresh activities (Production to staging/Training).
-Handling on demand schema level/ logical backup.
-Monitoring daily/weekly/monthly/incremental backups and ensure backups are in place.
-Performing data level changes/creation/modification in response to change control requests approved by concerned teams/managers.
-Prevent application outages by implementing proactive measures.
-Escalate application issues to product team and follow-up to closure.
-Follow standard documentation (SOPS) diligently and keep them up to date.
-Ensure operational process compliance - Execute automation procedures for Continuous integration and continuous delivery (DevOps) as directed by Senior Architects Qualifications : - Bachelors or higher degree with minimum 5-6 years of experience in java application administration - High appetite for automation, CI/CD, DevOps and tools associated with them - Willingness to work in shifts on a rotation basis to support global operations - Excellent Communications skills in English and positive attitude to work as part of a highly responsive incident management team - Has at least 1 year experience in hosted application environments - Fair knowledge in AWS and MS Azure offerings/services like RDS in AWS - Good knowledge in multiple deployment typologies - Has strong understanding on Oracle Database, PostgreSQL and NO SQL Databases - Hands-on experience in Oracle and other databases for enterprise platform operations.
-Reasonably skilled in scripting to leverage automation of procedures - Experience with Kubernetes and such container technologies will be an added advantage - Should have good knowledge of Linux OS.
-Hands-on experience in deploying and operating distributed systems in private cloud as well as public cloud.
