About Us : This is an Institution declared as Deemed to be University under Sec. 3 of the UGC Act in 1964 and is a renowned science and technology institute. It is located in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. In addition to Pilani, it has campuses in Dubai, Goa, and Hyderabad. Job Type : Fixed Term of 2 yrs and renewed based on satisfactory performance Reporting: Program Head - ERP Responsibilities : The incumbent is responsible for PeopleSoft infrastructure administration, operational support and maintenance for one or more customers in the areas of HR/Payroll, Finance Module, Campus Solutions, and environments supporting common interfaces between PeopleSoft systems and should be able to engage proactively with internal customers & service providers to ensure efficient operations. Key responsibilities will include requirements analysis & definition, design, testing and training. This will be a techno-functional role. Responsibilities in detail are as under : - Understand Organisation administrative processes and procedures for mapping them into various ERP modules.
-Work with users / consultants to design, configure, test and make live various ERP modules in the Student management system, Human Capital Management & Finance system etc.
-Work with users and leadership to enhance PeopleSoft / ERP features by carrying out requirements analysis & definition, design, testing and deployment along with proper documentation at each stage.
-Work with users to define reporting requirements and work with PeopleSoft development teams to design, develop, test and deploy these reports.
-Monitor, review and report the progress of implementation periodically on identified key performance indicators in line with the Road Map of ERP Implementation.
-Assist users and PeopleSoft development teams to close gaps between administrative process and modules by recommending workarounds, best practices, process improvements or modifications.
-Assist PeopleSoft development team in configuration, data conversion, interfaces, system security, etc.
-Assist in preparing user-friendly documentation and training material on various modules and ensure training is imparted to all users.
-Support faculty, staff and students with general / technical queries on various modules in PeopleSoft. Qualification and Personal Profile : - Bachelors / Masters (B.E. / MCA / MBA) degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
-Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in system implementation or support in various modules of PeopleSoft or any ERP.
-Thorough Knowledge on at least one of the following PeopleSoft product verticals: HCM/FSCM/Campus Solutions - Experience with configuring and maintaining PeopleSoft enterprise application software.
-Ability to diagnose and solve highly complex problems with application and database management system infrastructure.
-Experience and understanding with unit testing, debugging tools, release procedures, coding design and documentation, protocol as well as change management procedures - Proficiency programming in PeopleSoft object oriented programming language - People Code.
-Proficient in Module Development, Interfaces, Data Migration and Report Writing.
-Proficient in functional and technical knowledge adding Design, Development, Implementation, Upgrade and Customization support of full life cycle of HRMS applications.
-Expert level knowledge on different People Tools objects not limited to not only Integration Tools including Application Engine, File Layout, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, Workflow and Batch Processing Tools but also Reporting Tools including SQR, Crystal Reports, XML Publisher and PS Query.
-Effective written and oral communication skills, especially for writing technical documentation and presentations.
-Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of effective professional relationships.
-In-depth knowledge of performance metrics and service level agreements.
-Prior experience of working in an academic institution will be an added advantage. Other Skill and Ability Requirements : - Should be able to co-ordinate Project Management, Implementation of Technology / Process.
-Should have the ability to evaluate key products / technologies for expansion and replacement and coordinating the procurement process.
-Should demonstrate skills for planning & budgeting. Key Result Areas : - Implementation of ERP Road Map in line with the Action Plans, as per timeline.
-Monitor, Review & Report the outcomes on Identified Key Performance Drivers / Indicators for all areas of ERP implementation.
-Ensure SOPs for all systems, processes implemented, and changes made on a continual basis to ensure sustenance.
