Role : Big Data Architect Job Description : The candidate should have experience in Big Data in the following : Mandatory : We need candidates with Cassandra,spark,Python experience.
-Build a big data system based on product requirements.
-Ability to design this system to suit solution needs. This will involve data extraction, data modelling, transformation, integration with other data streaming solutions.
-Should have hands on knowledge on building REST/Webservices for external applications to consume this data.
-Experience in data migration from older systems of varied types to a big data architecture.
-Help the team to Improve system performance by optimizing data model for real time and batch process queries.
-Define, design and implement security and backup process in the big data solution - Coordinate with other teams to identify future needs and requirements - Planning system storage requirements for the big data platform Skills Required Mandatory skills : - Deep knowledge on Cassandra; additional exposure on other NOSQL databases would be an added advantage.
-Should have worked on Apache Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, MLib, GraphX on enterprise projects - Python programming and integration with Spark - General understanding of operating system, e.g. Windows and Linux - Understanding of how to size a Cassandra or equivalent NOSQL database Add-on skills : - Other streaming and MDM tools such as Kafka and Talend is an added advantage - General understanding of storage technologies and networking both on-prem and service providers such as Amazon EC2/S3 - General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a database Experience (in years) 4 years of relevant experience in mandatory skills : - 8 years of overall experience Duration : Full time Work Location : Chennai
