Job Description : - The role of the Data Scientist/Investment Analyst is to support the investment decision process through in-depth analytical work related to specific investment opportunities.
-The role is a natural starting point to get exposure to the investment analysis process and develop the skill set to be a successful junior investment analyst at the firm. Major responsibilities involved are : - Analyzing Alt data sets to provide insights and lead/lag indicators for key performance indicators for listed and unlisted equities - Applying data-driven approaches to analyze our portfolio, performance etc.
-Assist in building a performance attribution platform - Helping code and develop internal applications for information sharing, trading algorithms, natural language processing social velocity indicators etc.
-Helping develop a Quantmental and Smart Beta investment strategy utilizing Machine learning and other Big Data tools - Selected candidates will be requested to engage in a pilot during the months leading up to the formal starting date, a period where for a limited number of hours per week - They will have a chance to get acquainted with Auroville processes and tools and work on a sample problem statement
