Overview : Responsibilities : Requirements : - A Design System isnt a Project. Its a Product, Serving Products. At Wynk, we build and manage multiple fast-moving products for millions of users to consume content they love. This role will work towards creating and managing the visual and technical design system for the gamut of our products.
-This will require both product and project management skills, in addition to a deep understanding of design and implementation.
-The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, conceptualize through best practices, and conduct the complete systems life-cycle.
-This ranges from establishing a practice and vision that endures to design, build, document, and maintain an on-brand library used by many product teams.
-This role will report to the Head of Design with a dotted-line reporting to the CEO. In the current composition of the team, this role will work as an individual contributor. And best of luck - Understanding the deep aspects of our brands purpose, business missions and customer needs to distil the correct brand perception and user-experience expected by business in users mind - Interfacing with the branding and executive teams to weave an on-brand design language and visual persona of discrete products as well as for Wynk - Conceptualizing consistent, scalable and fungible visual components that maintain integrity across native mobile, responsive web and extra-large displays - Setting the standards in visual brand-language, space, typography, iconography, color, copy and motion that resonate both logically and emotionally - Working with the experience strategist and product owner to find open needs and gaps in the System for the intended information and content architecture - Owning all conversations around this System and auditing any new requirement or deviation against set guidelines through stringent creative quality assurance - Guiding the design integrator and prototyper to ensure accurate representation of the System in final visual mocks and prototypes - Articulating design decisions, presenting to clients or stakeholders - Evangelizing the mission of the System and training cross-functional teams to adopt best practices in the systems-led workflow - Staying on top of the latest standards, changes, trends and best practices in the field of visual and systems design and providing thought leadership in the space - both within and outside work What this role does not entail : - Conversing around day-to-day work and visual design deliverables and timelines - Information and content architecture creation and validation - A minimum of three to four years of professional experience in designing B2C products for web, desktop and mobile - At least 2 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing a successful design system, brand identities, grid systems, layouts and component libraries - Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience in the graphic design field - Workable understanding of agile ways of product development - Ability to work on multiple projects and deliver refined design in a short time without significant hand-holding - Proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and Invision - Expert-level skills in design systems management tools and plugins - Well organized, meticulous, responsible, dedicated, and a believer in collaboration and communication - A team player that trusts its team and is able to manage multiple stakeholders through leadership and assertiveness
