- Specialist Grocery is responsible for category coordination with stores and central team overseeing sales and margin delivery for Edible Oils & Ghee categories across the country in alignment with the 4 pillars of SPAR - Value, Freshness, Service and Choice across all SPAR Hypermarkets across the country and reports into Lead - Grocery. Authority : This position is accountable for :- Implementing buying and merchandising strategy across Grocery categories with a view towards achieving sales year on year focusing on margin.- Ensuring close coordination with store operations regional category teams and all other functions.- Adherence to annual budget and financial performance for the Grocery categories across Hypermarkets in the country and ownership of the P&L- Provide inputs on Price Benchmarking of the Grocery categories, perform competition benchmarking and implement retail Best Practices and commercial processes.- Engaging and handling vendors in the Grocery categories across the country.- Control Shrink and dump across all dry fruits categories in coordination with regional teams Responsibility : - Responsible for achieving and surpass sales, margin delivery and monitor and control of shrink & dump for the Grocery categories across regions.- Measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the Grocery Category.- Working in collaboration with the Store Operations Team, regional Category teams & support functions to implement Grocery category objectives- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, SOP s designed to accommodate objectives of the organization.- Responsible for creating seamlessness across the Grocery categories including reporting across all metrics to the management- Create excellence across the Grocery categories in all processes.- To understand the market scenario & take and implement action according to it.- Forecasting the market trend by looking at the price, demand & market fluctuations and hedging/forward blocking the stock according Span : Individual contributor role (ref:updazz.com)
