Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities):
1. AD Implementation and Configuration:
o Implement and configure Active Directory services on Windows Server platforms (2019,
and 2022).
o Set up and manage forests, domains, trusts, AD sites and replication.
2. Active Directory Tiering:
o Hands-on experience with AD tiering to optimize performance and scalability.
3. DC Build and Decommission:
o Participate in domain controller (DC) build and decommission processes.
o Ensure smooth transitions during DC upgrades or replacements.
4. Windows Update Management:
o Patch DCs using tools like Qualys, SCCM, and WSUS.
o Troubleshoot Windows update issues.
5. Multi-Domain and Multi-Forest Environment:
o Address cross-domain and cross-forest replication challenges.
o Manage AD in complex environments with multiple domains and forests.
6. Group Policies:
o Configure and troubleshoot group policies.
o Ensure consistent policy enforcement across the organization.
7. Windows File Servers and DFS:
o Configure and troubleshoot Windows file servers and DFS namespaces.
o Optimize file access and permissions.
8. DNS (Domain Name System):
o Creating DNS Zones, Configuration DNS Forwarding
o Manage Other DNS Zones Such as Conditional Forwarding, Stub zones, Delegation.
9. Additional Requirements:
o PowerShell Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for AD automation and
management tasks.
o AD Certificate Services: Good understanding of Active Directory Certificate services and
DigiCert external SSL Certificate
o AD Federation Services: Familiarity with Active Directory Federation services.
o Azure AD Connect Troubleshooting: Knowledge of troubleshooting Azure AD Connect
for directory synchronization, password hash synchronization, and pass-through
authentication.
o Auditing Concepts: Awareness of auditing concepts.
o AD Health Checks: Proficient in dealing with AD health checks.
o Group Policy Analysis and Configuration: Proficiency in analyzing and configuring group
policies, including item-level targeting and hardening.
o Workstation Configurations and Browser Settings: Familiarity with configuring
workstations and browser settings.
o MFA, AAD, ADFS, and ADCS: Hands-on experience with MFA, Azure AD (AAD), Active
Mandatory skills
AD tiering, DC build and decommission processes, and best practices for authentication and access controls.
