We support students through every step - from university selection and application, to visa, accommodation, and ongoing support. futureMBBS We re looking for a creative, data-driven social media expert who can amplify our brand, engage prospective students, and build a strong online community.Role Overview:- As Social Media Manager, you will own the social presence for futureMBBS (and related brands), plan and execute campaigns, create content, and drive lead generation through social channels.
-Your goal is to increase brand awareness, student inquiries, and engagement by communicating our mission and value proposition in a compelling way.- You will work closely with the marketing, admissions, content, and design teams to align social efforts with overall business and enrollment goals.Key Responsibilities:Strategy & Planning- Develop and maintain a social media strategy aligned with company goals (brand awareness, lead generation, recruitment)- Identify target personas (high school students, parents, counselors) and tailor content & channel mix accordingly- Conduct competitive benchmarking and stay updated on trends, platform changes, algorithm shifts Content Creation & Execution- Produce, schedule, and publish content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X / Twitter, WhatsApp, etc.)- Collaborate with content writers, designers, video creators to develop visuals, infographics, short videos, reels, stories, testimonials- Ensure consistency in visual identity, voice, messaging, and branding- Localize content where needed (e.g. Indian audience, German audience, multilingual posts) Community Management- Monitor social channels, respond to comments, messages, inquiries in a timely and professional way- Encourage conversation, user-generated content, reviews, testimonials- Flag and escalate issues, negative feedback, or PR-related concernsPaid Campaigns & Growth- Plan, launch, and optimize paid social campaigns (awareness, lead generation, retargeting)- A/B test ad creatives, copy, formats, audiences- Manage budgets, track ROI, and optimize spending- Collaborate with admissions/lead team to ensure leads are followed upAnalytics & Reporting- Define and track KPIs (reach, impressions, engagement rate, click-throughs, leads, cost per lead)- Analyse performance data, derive insights, and recommend adjustments- Prepare regular reports for management (monthly, quarterly)- Use tools such as Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics, social listening toolsCollaboration & Process- Coordinate with content, admissions, design, video, SEO, and marketing teams- Maintain an editorial calendar and content pipeline- Stay on top of platform updates, social media best practices, and industry developments- Provide training or guidelines to other team members as necessaryRequirements/Qualifications:- Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)- 3-5 years (or more) experience managing social media for brands (preferably education, edtech, consultancy, or student recruitment)- Proven track record with organic and paid social campaigns- Strong skills in copywriting, storytelling, content ideation- Experience with short video/reels/TikTok content creation- Good design sense; experience with tools like Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, video editors- Familiarity with analytics tools (Meta Insights, Google Analytics, social listening tools)- Ability to work with cross-functional teams- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)- Organized, self-starter mindset, able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines- Bonus: Experience in education/international student recruitment, knowledge about MBBS abroad, multilingual ability (English Hindi or regional languages) (ref:updazz.com)
