The full-time Admission Counsellor will support students post-entrance exam results (e.g. CET), offering counselling on college/branch selection, guiding them through option/choice-form filling, documentation & admission procedures and additionally use the institute s online product/portal to create and deliver video-based guidance, branch/college demonstrations and interactive guidance content. The role ensures students receive clear, transparent, and personalized assistance throughout the admission process. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate student profile (rank/percentile, 12th marks, category, preferences: branch/college/fees/location) and recommend suitable colleges/branches (safe, match, aspirational).
• Assist students (and parents) in correctly filling option/choice forms (college branch), explain seat-allocation logic (seat-matrix, cut-offs, reservation/quota rules), deadlines, seat-acceptance rules, branch-change options (if applicable).
• Guide students in preparing required documentation (marksheets, identity proofs, category certificates etc.), ensure completeness, and assist in submission and follow-ups.
• Conduct counselling sessions (in-person or online), address student/parent queries related to admission procedures, college/branch details, seat-allocation, fees, future prospects, etc.
• Use the institute s online product / portal / app to create guidance content: record and publish explanatory videos / demos about branches / colleges, admission process, form-filling, timelines; host webinars or interactive guidance sessions, ensuring clarity and accessibility for students.
• Maintain and update a student-lead / enquiry database (CRM/spreadsheet): record student profiles, counselling history, choices made, application status, allotment outcomes, follow-ups.
• Communicate admission-related updates to students/parents: seat-matrix / cut-off announcements, counselling rounds schedule, seat-acceptance / fee submission deadlines, spot-rounds or special rounds, reminders and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with admissions cell, academic departments, and product/IT team to ensure data in the online product (colleges, branches, seat-matrix, fees, seat-availability) remains updated and accurate.
• Provide honest, transparent, student-centric counselling and guidance help students make realistic, informed decisions; avoid over-promising.
