What role you will play in our team
The Primary role/function of the position of Cost Engineer is to prepare and/or review and endorse cost estimates of different levels of accuracy depending on the maturity of the project definition during various stages of the project lifecycle. The role involves developing multi:disciplinary conceptual and definitive cost estimates for a variety of projects.

Prepare multi:disciplinary cost estimates for a variety of medium and large projects using appropriate tools and systems.

Develop detailed cost estimates for projects at various stages, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive phases.

Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine cost:effective solution
:
Discuss, coordinate and resolve estimating input/queries with the project team and Subject Matter Experts available in organization to ensure quality estimate.
:
Ensure all assumptions/clarifications are properly documented.
:
Provide support for any selection and optimization study during project development.
:
Identify and drive optimizations in cost and execution of projects
:
Support project team in identification evaluation and capture of capital efficiency opportunities and estimate risks.
:
Support the procurement process by providing cost analysis and recommendations for vendor selection
:
Evaluate vendor proposals and contracts to ensure cost:effectiveness.

Perform Cost Reconciliation to previous estimates as the project develops.

Perform complete analysis and cost validations using internal and external benchmarking data, historical indices and component benchmarking.

Mentor and supports the review of the estimates prepared by the other cost engineers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with scope of work.
