Who are we looking for?

Reporting to the Client Systems and Database Services Manager, the Database Services Administrator/Engineer is responsible for delivering, managing and enhancing our Database services and enhancing performance and resiliency of these services across all regions.
:
The Database Services Administrator/Engineer role includes, but not limited to, Microsoft SQL Services, MySQL Services, SAP S4 HANA Databases. He/she will also work with regional and global groups in support of software deployment or upgrade, monitoring and Optimization/Improvements.

He/she will also lead patching process for Windows and Linux servers regarding where these Database services are running. This role will also be involved in cloud computing like Microsoft Database as a Service (DaaS), specifically as it relates to the user experience of various cloud services offered by ESI IT.

The Database role includes Microsoft SQL services support, on promise to cloud migrations.

This role also includes SAP HANA Database support.

He/she will work closely with global infrastructure, global information security, global applications, global support services and program management teams to implement future infrastructure enhancements in all geographies.

He/she will use our ITSM Tool (SNOW) and using Agile methodology.
What will you be doing?
:
Owns Microsoft SQL Servers/Services (Cloud and on:premises).
:
Owns and/or support Azure SAP HANA Database activities.
:
Manages end user data protection solutions.
:
Assist with software deployment linked to Database services.
:
Drive standardization and consolidation of infrastructure as a service component within all regions.
:
Lead projects with international team members.
:
Devise creative solutions to critical database infrastructure, database structure.
:
Provide guidance and support to team members proactively anticipating and overcoming obstacles.
:
Set high standards to achieve objectives.
:
Provide business sponsors and Information Technology leadership with regular project performance status, variances to plan, and identification of corrective actions (if required)

Function as an "internal consultant " around areas of Database Services, focusing specifically on IaaS initiates.

Function as an "internal consultant " around areas of infrastructure expertise, focusing specifically on Database architecture and security.
