JOB DESCRIPTIONRole Title Content writer Department Group Corporate Communication Sub Department Content & Corporate Communications Sub Sub Department Reports To Head - Content 1. JOB PURPOSE(Summarize in one statement why the job exists; and how it contributes to the overall objective of the company) We are looking for a dedicated content writer who will conceptualize, write, proofread, and edit content. The content writer s responsibilities would include planning, adjusting and presenting content in a manner that is appealing to customers, investors and the general public, thus strengthening the company s reputation. Key tasks would include writing pitch letters, press releases, features, FAQs, social media content, website content, annual report narratives pages, ESG report content. The writer should also be able to contribute to the development of communication strategies - that are largely content-based - and craft it in a manner that increases reader engagement with the brand. 2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES(Accountabilities associated with the job) Content & Corporate Communication- Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
-Engage with stakeholders within the organization to collate information and understand upcoming developments and opportunities for the brand s presence in the media.
-Creative writing for social media posts, website, features etc.
-Take charge of narrative pages of Annual reports & ESG reports.
-Proofread content for errors and inconsistencies.
-Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability.
-Optimize content for SEO, meta tags and search engines.
-Create compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
-Identify key messages for the organization and weaving them across content pieces to address gaps in the company s current media positioning. 4. MAJOR CHALLENGES(Challenges faced on an on-going basis in carrying out the job) - High-quality copies that are engaging - Coordination with multiple stakeholders - Handling a range of content, using creativity to make a mundane story stand out 5. DECISIONS(Key decisions taken by job holder at his/her end) - Content quality - Alignment with key messages of the organization and what it stands for 6. INTERACTIONS(Key working relationships a job holder needs to have INSIDE and OUTSIDE the company to accomplish the job) Internal ClientsRoles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day work - Media Relations team - Campaigns and influencer team - Legal & compliance teams - Finance teams - Secretarial teams - Leadership External ClientsRoles you need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day to day work - Content agencies - Vendors / Partners for specific projects - Freelancers 7. -Working knowledge of content management systems.
-Excellent writing and editing skills.
-The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
-The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
-Effective communication skills.
