Design for Manufacturing: Make sure designs can be manufactured effectively using the machinery at hand while reducing material waste. Tolerance & Specification: To guarantee that every component fits together flawlessly during the assembly stage, use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards. BOM Management: Make and keep up-to-date accurate bills of materials that list the hardware, components, and raw materials needed for every production run. Revision Control: Oversee the "Drawing Vault," making sure that any changes to the design are recorded, version-controlled, and shared with the production team. Shop-Floor Coordination: Work together with machinists and production supervisors to address design-related questions and offer technical assistance throughout the fabrication process.
