Java Developer Making Reliable Backends Job Description Responsibilities: Microservices Design & API Architecture: Create clean, RESTful API endpoints, manage request/response lifecycle contracts, and design, develop, and implement reliable, scalable, and secure backend microservices using Spring Boot or Spring Cloud. Object-Relational Mapping & Database Layer Mastery: Create optimal SQL queries, index strategies, data schema migrations across relational databases or NoSQL data stores, and design data persistence mechanisms using Hibernate and Spring Data JPA. Concurrency & JVM Performance Tuning: Use tools like JProfiler or VisualVM to optimize JVM configurations, such as garbage collection profiles, heap size management, and memory leak isolation, while writing effective multi-threaded, non-blocking code. Asynchronous Messaging & Event-Driven Systems: To enable high-throughput, decoupled application pipelines, use distributed messaging buses and event-streaming frameworks such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ. Automated Testing & Continuous Code Quality: Use JUnit and Mockito to create thorough unit, integration, and regression test suites while adhering closely to clean-code standards and aiming for high code coverage metrics. Containerization & CI/CD Cloud Pipelines: Work with DevOps teams to deploy workloads via CI/CD pipelines onto cloud platforms, and package and coordinate backend services using Docker containers.
