CATIA Design Engineer Entry-Level Design Role Job Description Experience: 0 to 3 yrs Salary: Based on Company Norms Education: Diploma/BE in Mech Location: In And Around Chennai Your Duties: Parametric 3D Modeling & Surface Generation: Develop sophisticated 3D parametric solid parts, advanced surface geometries, and full product assemblies using CATIA V5/V6. DFM & DFA Integration: Optimize component dimensions for particular factory manufacturing restrictions, such as precision CNC machining, casting, plastic injection molding, and sheet metal stamping. Detailed 2D Drafting & GD&T Application: Use strict Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GD&T callouts to guarantee correct stack-up fits while converting 3D master models into highly accurate 2D manufacturing prints. Assembly & Clash Analysis: Before prototyping, build and maintain large product assemblies while conducting digital mock-up DMU clash, clearance, and spatial interference audits to remove fitment concerns. Product Lifecycle Management PLM Controls: Manage product structure variations and model configurations by releasing and monitoring CAD data updates using integrated PLM software pipelines like ENOVIA or Windchill.
