TIG Welder High-Specification Welding Job Description Responsibilities: High-Precision TIG Welding Execution: In accordance with technical standards, execute faultless manual TIG (GTAW) welding operations on thin to medium gauge stainless steel, aluminium, and nickel alloys in all places. Weld Blueprint & WPS Interpretation: Examine intricate technical drawings, extract Weld Symbol instructions, and set up the welding equipment according to the specified Weld Procedure Specification. Material Preparation & Fitting: To guarantee zero contamination, clean, grind, bevel, and degrease metal joints using wire wheels and chemical agents; clamp and tack-weld structures into exact plan geometry. Gas Shielding & Purging Management: To avoid atmospheric crystallisation or "sugar" flaws, set up internal back-purging arrangements for hollow pipes or vessel roots and configure primary torch shielding flow rates. Maintenance for consumables and torches: Replace worn ceramic nozzles, check gas lenses, clean and sharpen thorium/lanthanum tungsten electrodes accurately, and carefully check gas cylinder pressure thresholds. Workshop Safety & PPE Compliance: Adhere strictly to industrial shop safety regulations by using hot-metal tagging, fire-resistant leather equipment, high-shade auto-darkening welding helmets, and appropriate local exhaust ventilation.
