Smart Production Systems Electronics Engineer Job Description Duties: Electronic Hardware & Circuit Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix complex printed circuit boards PCBs, power electronics, inverter drives, embedded controllers, and industrial electronic modules at the component level. Embedded Systems & Microcontroller Integration: Write and debug software for sensor interfaces, motor drivers, and industrial communication modules program, test, and integrate microcontrollers ARM, PIC, AVR and DSP units. PCB Design, Prototyping, and Testing: Use CAD software Altium, Eagle, KiCAD to create schematic diagrams and multi-layer PCB layouts validate prototypes using thermal analysis, signal integrity testing, and EMI/EMC compliance checks. Sensor Networks & Instrumentation Calibration: Set up, adjust, and maintain signal conditioning circuits and digital/analog sensors. Preventive Electronic Maintenance & ESD guidelines: Enforce stringent Electrostatic Discharge handling guidelines throughout shop-floor maintenance areas establish organised preventive maintenance procedures for electronic panels and control cabinets. Focus Skills: Deep practical knowledge of circuit synthesis, operational amplifiers, power management integrated circuits ICs, optocouplers, microcontrollers, logic gates, and signal conditioning networks is required for both analogue and digital circuit design. PCB Layout & Hardware CAD Proficiency: Practical knowledge of design for manufacturing DFM using Altium, KiCAD, or Eagle, multi-layer PCB routing, trace width calculation, and grounding methodologies. Component-Level Troubleshooting & Soldering: Expertise in diagnosing and fixing faulty PCBs utilising oscilloscopes, logic analysers, function generators, multimeters, and SMD soldering/rework stations. Industrial Communication & Embedded Firmware: Knowledge of industrial communication buses and microcontroller programming.
