Payer Guideline & Timely Filing Compliance: To avoid avoidable claim abandonments and write-offs, confirm timely filing windows and payer-specific billing rules during phone conversations. Focus Skills: Insurance Phone Follow-Up & Payer Relations Expertise: Excellent knowledge of outbound insurance calling procedures, IVR system navigation, effective payer representative communication, and acquiring accurate claim adjudication facts. Medical Billing & EOB/ERA Fundamentals: Basic understanding of CMS-1500 forms, patient copays, deductibles, coinsurance structures, CARC/RARC denial reason codes, and the Revenue Cycle Management process.
