Tool Repair Engineer Industrial Tooling Restoration Job Description: Responsibilities: Design, develop, assemble, and commission press tools, injection molds, die-casting dies, welding jigs, and machining fixtures based on 2D/3D engineering drawings. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, overhauls, and emergency repairs on production dies, molds, and fixtures to minimize downtime. Conduct root cause analysis on tool failures, premature wear, component breakage, and part defect trends, implementing engineering modifications (ECNs) for tool continuous improvement. Operate high-precision tool room machinery, including CNC Machining Centers (VMC), Wire EDM, EDM Die Sinking, Surface Grinders, Lathes, and Milling Machines. Inspect, measure, and validate manufactured tooling components using precision instruments (Vernier height gauges, micrometers, slip gauges, profile projectors, CMM) against tight tolerances. Maintain comprehensive tool room records, including tool maintenance logs, tool life tracking history, spare parts inventory, and die/mold trial reports.
