Regional Sales Manager - Wires Category (Mumbai)Location: Mumbai, MaharashtraReporting To: National Sales Head - Wires / Zonal Sales DirectorIndustry Preference: Electrical / FMEG / Wires & CablesExperience Required: 15 YearsRole Overview :- A leading premium brand in the Fast-Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) segment is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Regional Sales Manager - Wires to lead category growth across Mumbai.- The role is critical in strengthening premium positioning in Building Wires, Flexible Cables, and Housing Wire segments, while driving distribution depth, influencer engagement, and retail excellence.Key Result Areas (KRAs)1. Category Leadership - Wires- Own complete P&L responsibility for Wires category in Mumbai region.- Drive premium product mix and value growth.- Expand market share in housing wires and flexible cables.- Ensure strong visibility of flagship wire portfolio across markets.2. Distribution Strengthening & Market Expansion- Appoint and develop high-quality distributors aligned to premium standards.- Improve numeric & weighted distribution across electrical retail counters.- Enhance secondary sales velocity and fill-rate efficiency.- Expand presence in high-growth micro-markets and new housing clusters.3. Retail & Electrician Ecosystem Development- Strengthen relationships with electrical retailers and channel partners.- Drive electrician loyalty and engagement programs.- Ensure superior in-shop branding, visibility, and counter share.- Promote premiumization at the retail level.4. Influencer & Project Synergy- Build strong engagement with electricians, contractors, and builders.- Collaborate with project sales teams for real estate and infrastructure projects.- Increase brand preference in institutional and residential segments.5. Team Leadership & Capability Development- Lead and mentor ZSMs, ASMs, Territory Sales Officers.- Drive structured performance management and KPI tracking.- Build technical selling capability for wires category.- Foster a high-performance culture.6. Business Planning & Demand Forecasting- Prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the region.- Drive accurate demand forecasting in coordination with Supply Chain.- Optimize inventory turnover and working capital.7. Competitive & Pricing Intelligence- Monitor competition in premium and mid-segment wire brands.- Track copper price fluctuations and pricing movements.- Develop counter strategies for trade schemes and discounting.8. Financial Governance & Compliance- Ensure credit discipline and healthy distributor ROI.- Manage collections and minimize outstanding.- Ensure compliance with company policies and audit norms.9. Cross-Functional Collaboration- Partner with Marketing for product launches and campaigns.- Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure product availability.- Work with HR on manpower and capability planning.Candidate ProfileExperience :- Minimum 15 years in Electrical / Wires & Cables / FMEG sales.- Proven track record in handling metro markets like Mumbai.- Strong exposure to dealer-distributor-electrical retail ecosystem.Skills & Competencies : - Deep understanding of wires category dynamics.- Strong channel development and influencer management.- Commercial acumen and negotiation capability.- Strategic thinking with strong execution focus.- Leadership experience managing large field teams.Education :- MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.- Graduate degree mandatory.
