Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue & P&L Leadership- Take complete ownership of international sales targets, margins, and profitability for air and ocean forwarding. Develop and execute annual business plans aligned with company growth goals.Business Development & Key Accounts- Acquire new international and domestic clients for FCL/LCL container movements and air freight.
-Deepen engagement with key verticals-automotive OEMs/Tier-1 suppliers and pharma exporters/importers-offering tailored logistics solutions.Pricing & Market Strategy- Partner with the central pricing team to structure competitive rate strategies.- Provide actionable market intelligence on trade lanes, carrier negotiations, and emerging opportunities.Emphasis on global agency/partner development- Build and strengthen global agent/partner networks to ensure reliable service coverage across key trade lanes.Sales Team Leadership- Emphasis on multi-location/multi-branch leadership- Set individual KPIs, coach on consultative selling, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.- Succession planning and talent development.Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with compliance and regulatory affairs teams to ensure adherence to international trade laws and industry certifications.- Drive adoption of CRM/ERP and digital tools to enhance efficiency.Market & Industry Insight- Anticipate and interpret freight market trends to position the company as a proactive industry leader.Qualifications & Experience- Graduate / MBA in Business, International Trade, or Supply Chain with 10-15 years of progressive sales leadership in freight forwarding (air & ocean), with proven container (FCL/LCL) experience.- Exposure to global freight forwarding networks, trade associations (FIATA, IATA, etc.), and carrier/airline negotiations- Strong network in automobile and pharmaceutical logistics.- Demonstrated success in managing a P&L and meeting ambitious revenue targets.- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and client relationship skills.- Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems and familiarity with technology-driven logistics solutions.
