The Role :We are looking for a Proposal Manager who will play a key role in driving sales opportunities by managing proposal / RFP / RFI responses. This full-time position is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, winning bids. Working closely with the internal cross functional teams, the Bid Manager ensures that all proposals are compelling, compliant, and submitted on time. The role involves managing timelines for proposal responses, organizing internal review meetings, coordinating inputs from subject-matter experts, and maintaining proposal documentation. The proposal manager will be ultimately responsible for the outcome of combining all artefacts, information from various sources into a cohesive, structured and comprehensive response to the client s requirements.Your Day-to-Day- Manage the full proposal lifecycle -understanding & documenting the client s ask clearly, deck creation, co-ordinating with various teams, internal reviews, leadership reviews, proposal development and submission- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business development, Design, Tech, Legal, Finance and operations to gather required content and insights for bid responses.- Develop and write proposal content, ensuring all submissions are accurate, persuasive, and aligned with client requirements and brand tone.- Maintain and manage timelines for bids and tenders, ensuring all deliverables are completed and submitted on time.- Organize and lead internal meetings, such as bid kick-offs, progress reviews, and debriefs to keep all stakeholders aligned.- Create and manage a centralized bid library of templates, case studies, and standard responses for future use.- Monitor and evaluate bid performance, identifying areas for improvement and sharing best practices across teams.- Ensure compliance with client requirements, internal approval processes, and legal or procurement standards.- Collaborate with leadership teams to refine pitch strategies and strengthen Dept s market positioning through high-quality proposals.Experience & Skills :- Professionals with a Bachelor s degree in Technology (BSc IT / BCA / MCA / BE or equivalent), with a Master s in Business / Marketing / Communications as an added advantage- Candidates with 2-4 years of experience in bid management / proposal coordination, including at least 1 year creating proposals for applications, custom development, websites, mobile apps, or martech implementations- Individuals who have worked in IT services / digital / tech pre-sales or bid management roles (not product-only bidding) and understand services-led, non-standard, custom scopes- Practitioners with a strong grasp of bid management processes, proposal writing, and business development fundamentals, ideally within marketing, digital, or creative agency environments- Professionals experienced in interpreting RFPs, working closely with delivery and tech teams to scope accurately, translate requirements, and avoid gaps in proposals- Candidates with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing persuasive, well-structured proposals and high-quality presentations in Google Slides / PowerPoint- Operators who can manage multiple bids simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail across submissions- Team-oriented professionals who effectively coordinate cross-functional and senior stakeholders, including exposure to executives and multi-disciplinary teams across regions- Individuals proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with familiarity with procurement portals, RFP platforms, and CRM systems- Candidates with proposal management certification or training (e.g., APMP) and experience using Gemini / AI tools as a plus- Professionals with strong data management, reporting, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills- People comfortable operating in fast-paced, deadline-driven, global environments, with the ability to ramp up quickly in a replacement role- Mumbai-based candidates who are comfortable with an in-office setup and ready to take ownership from day one (ref:updazz.com)
