This role requires a strong mix of sales leadership, client relationship management, market development, and team handling.Job OverviewThe Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading market development, expanding professional networks, managing the sales pipeline, and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders such as architects, interior designers, builders, and industry professionals.This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who can combine strategic sales, team leadership, and relationship-driven business development to create sustainable business growth.Key Responsibilities :Market Development & Networking :- Develop and expand a strong professional network by engaging with architects, designers, builders, and other industry stakeholders- Represent the organization in client meetings, showroom visits, and industry events- Build strong brand presence in the assigned region and nearby areas- Focus on relationship-building rather than only product-oriented meetingsSales Growth & Lead Conversion :- Manage the complete sales pipeline from lead generation to closure- Ensure smooth conversion of high-potential leads into successful business opportunities- Handle after-sales follow-ups and maintain strong client rapport- Guide clients on product selection, pricing, and project timelines with a consultative approachClient Relationship Management :- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and decision-makers- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution, dispatch, and after-sales support- Visit client sites regularly to strengthen relationships and gather market insightsOperations & Reporting :- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM tools- Provide regular market updates, sales reports, and feedback to senior management- Track business performance and identify growth opportunities in the assigned territoryTeam Leadership :- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs)- Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular coaching/training- Build a collaborative, motivated, and client-focused team culture- Ensure consistent team performance and achievement of business goalsRequired Qualifications :- Master s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field- 3-5 years of experience in Business Development, Client Management, or Sales- Experience in Construction / Interiors / Building Materials is preferredSkills & Attributes :- Proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills- Strong network with Architects, Interior Designers, Builders, or the Construction industry is a plus- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a growth-focused environment- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools- Willingness to travel within the region and nearby locations as required (ref:updazz.com)
