Production Engineer Developing Superior Manufacturing Job Description: The manufacturing facility's "Floor Operations Commander" and "Efficiency Strategist" are the Production Engineer. In order to satisfy stringent production targets, on-time delivery deadlines, and yield requirements, your main responsibility is to supervise, carry out, and optimize everyday manufacturing processes. As the "Line Optimizer," you oversee labor allocations, machine capacities, and raw material conversions to close the gap between design plans and actual output. A hands-on technical leader with a "Operations-First" mentality who can reduce operational downtime, remove process bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement techniques on the shop floor is the ideal candidate. Key Duties Daily Production Execution: Create, carry out, and keep an eye on daily manufacturing schedules to make sure shifts meet cycle-time and output volume goals. Line Balancing & Optimization: To remove bottlenecks, balance workloads on assembly lines, and increase overall equipment effectiveness, examine cycle times and process workflows. Resource & Labor Allocation: Oversee floor operator shift schedules, allocate work according to skill matrices, and maximize labor usage throughout production cells. Continuous Improvement: To cut down on process waste, support shop-floor Lean initiatives, use 5S cleanliness standards, Kaizen continuous improvements, and Value Stream Mapping. Troubleshooting and Downtime Mitigation: Reduce unscheduled setup or breakdown times by working with the maintenance engineering team to quickly identify minor mechanical or electrical machine defects. Standard Operating Procedures: To maintain operational uniformity over shifts, develop, maintain, and audit standardized work instructions and production protocols.
