Quality Inspector Quality Excellence Specialist Job Description Experience: 2 to 4 yrs Salary: Based on Company Norms Education: Diploma/BE in ECE, EEE, Mech, etc Location: In And Around Chennai Your Duties: In-Process and Final Product Auditing: Conduct regular, hourly floor inspections at injection molding machine stations, comparing the manufacture of active parts to authorized golden samples and border sheets. Dimensional Metrology Control: Check important part measurements against blueprint tolerances using precision measuring tools such as digital calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and profile projectors. Molding Defect Diagnostics: Recognize, classify, and monitor common plastic molding flaws on the line, such as burn marks, warping, voids, sink marks, flash, short shots, silver streaks, and weld lines. Non-Conforming Material Control: Tag, separate, and log faulty batches into the specified Red Bin quarantine zones to avoid unintentional mix-ups; provide immediate Hold/Stop-Production notifications when defect levels are exceeded. First Article Inspection (FAI): Before allowing the production team to move forward, measure and clear the first component pieces during fresh mold setups, color changes, or raw material batch switch-overs. Statistical Data Documentation: Update metrics in our central quality tracking system, or ERP, by filling out and recording daily quality check sheets, shift inspection reports, and defect Pareto charts.
