Electrical Engineer PLC, VFD & Control System Support Job Description Who you are: Manage HV/LV switchgear, distribution transformers, power factor correction blocks, and bus duct networks while supervising the day-to-day operations and preventative maintenance of vital power infrastructure. Identify problems with motor control centers, frequency drives, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers by leading in-depth technical diagnosis during unplanned equipment electrical stalls. Read ladder diagrams, test input/output channels across PLC control panels and SCADA interfaces, and collaborate with the automation unit to identify machine logic abnormalities. Organize and record routine predictive testing procedures, such as busbar thermal imaging, transformer insulation resistance checks, and breaker relay testing. Use Fishbone Diagnostics and 5-Why Analysis to investigate high-frequency electrical component burnouts or transient trip failures and design long-term protection retrofits.
