Economics & Resource scheduling Production Supervisor Job Description Experience: 3+ yrs Salary: Based on Company Norms Education: Diploma/BE in Mech Location: In And Around Chennai Your Duties: Supervision of Shift Operations and Execution of Output: Oversee daily shift operations on the manufacturing line, making sure operators adhere to production targets, station assignments, and shift schedules. Hourly Throughput & Line Balancing: To maintain the desired line speed, keep an eye on hourly line productivity, address any operational bottlenecks right away, distribute operators across stations as efficiently as possible, and reduce machine idle time. Quality Inspection & Scrap Reduction: To lower shift scrap and rework rates, enforce process quality standards at each workstation, do routine hourly line checks, report non-conformances, and work with Quality Control. Workplace Safety & 5S Enforcement: Maintain 5S workplace organization, perform daily safety briefings (toolbox talks), enforce Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards across shift teams, and make sure personal protective equipment (PPE) is used appropriately. Machine Downtime & First-Line Maintenance Coordination: Determine operational problems with the machine right away, record line breakdown incidents, carry out basic first-line troubleshooting, and work with the maintenance team to take prompt corrective action.
