Job description:Responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and techno-commercial proposals for HSAW carbon steel pipes and external coating projects. The role involves analyzing tender documents, estimating production and coating costs, coordinating with procurement and production teams, and supporting management in pricing strategy and bid submissions.Key Responsibilities:1. Tender Review & Technical Understanding- Review tender documents, specifications, and BOQs to identify scope for HSAW pipe manufacturing and coating.- Clarify technical and commercial queries with clients/consultants.2. Cost Estimation- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for materials, manpower, and utilities.- Estimate coating costs and factor in logistics, testing, and indirect costs.- Ensure cost assumptions align with plant data and productivity norms.3. Price Build-Up & Proposal Preparation- Develop techno-commercial offers with price, delivery, and terms.- Coordinate with Procurement and Production for cost validation.- Support pricing strategy through market and competition analysis.4. Database & Benchmarking- Maintain cost databases and historical project data.- Benchmark costs with competitors and past bids for competitiveness.5. Coordination & Communication- Liaise with Sales, QA/QC, and Production for inputs and clarifications.- Support post-bid discussions and ensure smooth project handover.Qualifications & Experience:Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Metallurgical Engineering.Experience: 5-10 years in estimation/costing.Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and estimation tools.
