This position requires someone who have experience in VM Online and not offline or at Store. So, candidates having experience in Online VM should only apply.Key Responsibilities:1. Visual Merchandising Strategy & Design Leadership- Define and lead the VM strategy, design system, and experience standards across all physical touchpoints.Develop immersive and storytelling-led visual concepts aligned with: - Brand campaigns- Seasonal themes- Destination narratives- Sales and retail priorities- Create VM guidelines, zoning frameworks, and style guides for scalable execution across resorts and experience centres.2. Category Management Ownership- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for merchandise and retail categories: - Category planning & strategy- Consumer need analysis- Assortment planning- Vendor selection- Product development- Pricing & margins- Inventory & replenishment cyclesDefine the category vision for: - Resort retail stores- Experience centre retail zones- Activity/product segments- Seasonal/limited-edition collections- Co-branded merchandise (collabs)- Identify and launch new categories driven by guest insights and revenue potential.3. Retail VM for Merchandise & Category Performance- Design visually compelling product displays that improve: - Walk-ins- Browsing time- Add-on purchases- Cross-selling & up-selling- Build and implement planograms, display standards, POP elements, and shelving systems.- Align VM with category strategy - hero products, high-margin SKUs, seasonal ranges.4. Performance Management & P&L Contribution- Drive revenue, margins, sell-through, and category profitability.- Use resort-level data to refine assortment and shelf allocation.Create dashboards for: - Category performance- SKU contribution- Low vs. high performers- Inventory turns- Store-wise revenue- Run A/B tests for layouts, product placements, pricing formats, and visual storytelling to enhance sales.5. Vendor, Production & Procurement LeadershipManage end-to-end vendor ecosystem for: - VM production & installation- Retail fixtures- Printed assets- Merchandise and category items- Oversee cost negotiations, SLAs, quality standards, and sustainability compliance.- Manage budgets for both VM and merchandise category sourcing.6. Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with: - Brand & Creative - for concepts and visual direction- Sales - for conversion-led VM and product prioritization- Resort Operations - for installations and store operations- Supply Chain - for stock planning and logistics- Digital - for phygital VM & QR journeys- Finance - for pricing and margin strategies- Provide training modules for resort staff on VM upkeep and retail standards.7. Governance, SOPs & Deployment Excellence- Create and enforce: - VM SOPs- Category management SOPs- Installation checklists- Maintenance calendars- Conduct regular audits for: - Compliance- Visual consistency- Store display hygiene- Pricing and labelling accuracy- Ensure safety, regulatory, and accessibility standards across installations.Required Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor s degree in Design/VM/Interior/Exhibition Design/Visual Communication; MBA/PG in Marketing or Retail preferred.- 10-15 years experience in: - Visual Merchandising (hospitality, retail, lifestyle, or experiential)- Category Management (retail, FMCG, lifestyle, or hospitality retail)- Experience with multi-location rollouts, retail revenue ownership, and brand experience is essential.Technical Skills- VM design tools (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Figma).- Strong knowledge of retail merchandising, assortment planning, and pricing.- Understanding of materials, fabrication, production methods, lighting, signage & wayfinding.- Familiarity with inventory management, forecasting, and sales analytics.- Ability to design phygital elements: QR journeys, screens, interactive displays.
