APQP and Core Tool Ownership: Create, maintain, and oversee Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis dossiers and production control plans; lead the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) loop for new product introductions. Supplier Quality Governance: Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests to reduce incoming material defect rates, assess supplier performance metrics, inspect external production facilities, and set quality standards for third-party suppliers. Customer Complaint Management & 8D Response: Lead cross-functional engineering teams through in-depth root cause analyses using structured 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa frameworks to implement long-term preventive adjustments; serve as the main technical point of contact for customer-facing quality anomalies.
