Working closely with product design, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and production teams, this role ensures all tooling assets deliver high dimensional accuracy, long service life, and optimal cycle times while minimizing line downtime through robust preventative maintenance and rapid troubleshooting Key Skills: Strong technical knowledge of toolmaking principles, mold/die construction, tool steels, heat treatment processes, and surface coatings. Hands-on proficiency with CAD/CAM platforms (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, or Creo) and tool room metrology tools (CMM, micro-height gauges, optical comparators). Practical experience in operating and programming tool room machinery, including CNC mills, lathes, surface grinders, Wire EDM, and Sinker EDM. Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T - ASME Y14.5), technical drawing interpretation, and precision measuring techniques.
