QC Engineer Trainee Hands-On Quality Role Job Description: Responsibilities: Product Inspection: Compare finished goods, in-process subassemblies, and incoming components to designs using exact visual, dimensional, and functional inspections. Metrology & Testing: Use and maintain devices for precise measurement, such as micrometers, profile projectors, height gauges, Vernier calipers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines CMM. Non-Conforming Material Management: Recognize, label, and separate materials that are flawed. Provide Material Rejection Reports MRR and work with production to carry out containment measures. Execution of the Testing Protocol: Conduct and observe specialist destructive and non-destructive testing NDT, including dye penetrant checks, tensile testing, hardness testing, and specialized pressure testing. First Article Inspection FAI: To verify line readiness for new production setups, tool modifications, or component adjustments, conduct and record First Article Inspections. Traceability Maintenance: For thorough product genealogy and auditing, make sure that all inspection logs, material test certificates MTC, and batch run parameters are precisely documented. Defect Data Collection: To support the QA team 's root cause analyses, compile daily scrap, rework, and rejection data into Pareto charts and histograms. Workplace Standardization: To calibrate the inspection standards of line inspectors and operators, enforce boundary samples and defect catalogs on the work floor.
